OUR CONTENT

Aboriginal Health Television consists of a mix of High Definition, culturally specific content & health messages.  Our programming mix plays on a 60 minute loop and segments are refreshed regularly with content targeting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander healthcare patients.

AHTV health messages can be geo-targeted in real-time, to local communities at individual Aboriginal Medical Services.  Subtitles are used on all network content to assist with local language translation, hearing impaired viewers and to ensure content remains engaging in quiet medical practice environments.

Our network consists of culturally relevant content including:

  • Location-based Aboriginal Medical Services messages
  • Health Messages – ACCHO & Government Agencies
  • Medical, Health & Wellbeing, Nutrition & Exercise
  • News & Weather updates
  • Community & Culture
  • Lifestyle
  • Youth, Travel & Music

We welcome Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander content producers as well as non-Indigenous contributors to the AHTV network.

What’s New on Screens

Rheumatic Heart Disease

Alarmingly, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make up just 3.2% of Australia’s population yet carry the burden of 87% of rheumatic heart disease cases. To address this disparity, AHTV created an educational resource that runs across our TV network.
